IN HARM’S WAY by Eleanor Fellowes to Profile

Jane Finigan has sold UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) for Eleanor Fellowes’ IN HARM’S WAY to Louisa Dunnigan at Profile in a six-way auction. Eleanor, a former probation officer, draws upon first-hand experience working in the probation service and at HMP Wandsworth to explore the UK’s prison system. Profile describe the book as a “compelling and important investigation” and are due to publish the title in spring 2021. Audio rights have been sold to Audible who will publish simultaneously with Profile. Read the full Bookseller announcement here.

Her pen name is taken from Alice Thomas Ellis’ Other Side of the Fire, which is unfortunately and scandalously out of print. One of the funniest bits in the book is the bodice-ripper that one of the characters is writing and the female - who slays the men with one toss of her raven locks and one glance from her fiery green eyes as she strides among the glens, faithful wolfhound by her side - is Amaryllis! And the name just seemed to suit so here we are.
