We know that books are essential, maybe more than ever right now. In line with government restrictions, we will be closing our doors on Thursday, but L&R will still be here to provide you with everything you need to the best of our ability.

We will be happy to take your orders by phone or email on 020 7229 1010 / claire@lutyensrubinstein.co.uk for collection, posting or local delivery. And if we don’t currently have a book in stock, we should be able to get it within 2-3 days.

The shop will be open for collections from 1-2pm Tuesday to Saturday, but do let us know if you can’t make it then, and we’ll try to be flexible.

Please contact us by telephone or email if you need help with choosing books for relatives, friends or (most importantly) yourself. You can book a specific time for this by getting in touch, and even make an appointment for a Zoom call, should you so wish.

We will also be providing recommendations on our Instagram account, our email newsletter and on this website. Please do follow us on social media if you don’t already.

Our Year in Books service will continue to run over Lockdown, and if you would like to gift a subscription, or purchase one for yourself, you can do so here.

And if it is not books, but greetings cards, reading glasses or maybe even an advent calendar that you are in need of, please contact us.

And finally, there is at last an alternative to Amaz*n for ordering books and supporting independent booksellers, without engaging directly. Please visit our affiliate page on Bookshop.org where we are having great fun coming up with lists of favourite books. Orders from there will be fulfilled directly, and we will receive a commission.

Book Subscriptions

We are delighted to be able to resume our Year in Books service and will be extending the subscription period accordingly when we have been unable to send out books in the last couple of months. Please do let us know if the addresses we hold are not where you currently are.
